Well, that game runs.  Every other accelerometer game I tried wouldn't even open.  When the Ski Jump game loads up it asks if I would like to enable movement control.  I answer yes and play the game, but I dont think the movement control is actually working.  I go to the menu and it says it's on though...

Cool!  Here's a working level app that uses the accelerometer...

And a ball and maze game that works! (inverted controls)

Level app doesn't seem very accurate.  The bubble will flow all the way to the right when tilted but barley moves to the left of center when tilted the opposite direction.  The ball game works great so far.  Too bad the controls are inverted.  Both are still pretty cool and gives me hope that me may actually get some decent accelerometer games and apps someday.

Yeah, It sucks that it isn't completely accurate... but what I think should be noted about the level app is that the controls are NOT inverted, which is cool.  Hopefully that means someday someone will be making tilt games without inverted controls for the Solstice.

I found a new accelerometer game today. Maybe it will work for you guys with a solstice. It cant hurt to try. You turn the sensor off and on in its options. It can play without the accelerometer also.  Its called EDGE.

Games are installed by downloading from a website with proper code or using usb and TKFE. There is a how to on this forum.

tested it. works. and i think it inverted? i have to lay on my back and look up at the phone for it to work right.

EDIT:

scratch that. Second time i started it up it asked me to calibrate (put screen flat and click button) and i did that and it works great!!! WHOOO

So it actually works? I was going to tell you to start the game with the phone flat face down to calibrate and see if that works. That is cool that it does work. Iwill have to keep my eyes open. So how well does it work? I have never played an accelerometer game before.

its pretty good... sometimes it gets a little screw u just gotta get used to it... the accellerometer on this phone was mostly made for stuff like tilting it for the keyboard. Not too sensitive or accurate but it is definately playable.

Sometimes it wont react to my tilting it, but usually it works fairly well..

I've been trying to play EDGE since I found it on the Impression forums, and it certainly reacts to the accelerometer, but with mixed results. I have to tilt the phone at the oddest angles to get the cube to move, and the angles that I tilt don't seem to correspond logically with the cube's direction of movement. I have calibrated it multiple times as well as reinstalled, but always with the same results. Guess you lucked out the jtap.

Thanks for pac man Ago. Works fairly well, but SO HARD to play!

That EDGE game works well for two directions of the block... the other two are backwards. Sad
