Does anybody with the solstice want to check this out. This is pacman that is supposed to use the accelerometer. Doesnt work on the eternity or impression. But it seems with the solstice there is a chance.

Just install the jad and jar with TKFE. Let me know your results.

What do you know. It works. The controls are reversed from what they should be, but it works.

Oh, and better yet, doesn't look like the code is obfuscated, so this should be reproducible.

So the motion sensor game works? Oh, that just upsets me. LOL. I have more. I will post them and see what works for you.

Here are some motion sensor games. Not sure what will and what won't work.

http://javagamesunlimited.blogspot.com/search?q=Motion

Click on the game link. It will take you to an individual game page. Towards the bottom of the game window you will see download link. Slightly underneath it you will see 'Download File" barely visable. Click on the download file words and it will start the download.

But its not a bad game...

Im not sure any of those are going to work. One of the racing games gave me throttle control, but every other game I have tried has been no go.

At least you guys got further than the eternity and impression forum. All we would have gotten was an error. So it seems the solstice is the only accelerometer working phone for samsung in the US right now. Don't you feel special?  Wink

There is not much out there. And nothing really made for the solstice. The link I gave was the best I ever saw.

If there is a way to modify other accelerometer games, like Marble Blast (which gives you an on-screen D-Pad), and tell them to just use accelerometer and nothing else, then there is a chance.

if you put this in the jad it will take away the dpad. Doesnt always work to make them full screen. And sometimes the dpad is needed.

So, why is it that the pac-man accelerometer game works on the solstice but no other accelerometer games do?  What makes it different from the rest?

Different phones access the accelerometer in different ways. ATT never actually made any accelertor games for this phone. The european models are backwards and thats why you cant run them on this phone.

Give this game a try. If the accelerometer is activated it will tell you on the opening screen.
