you can delete locked apps in tkfilexplorer. just delete them  with the tkfile explorer .then go to admin setting  in phone withby typing *#6984125*# in dial , then hit internals menu and type master key *#3818790*#  then go to storage settings and hit udate java db and old locked app links will be deleted.

You are only repeating what is said in the first post. Was there some other point you were trying to make or did you have a question?

I've downloaded tkfe v2.2 three times and can't seem to get the COM selection dialog to see my phone when plugged into the USB.. What am I doing wrong?

Have you searched the forum? This gets asked alot. Forum is not that huge that you can't attempt to find the info. Did you install pc studio to get the drivers? Check samsung mobile modem in device manager for the port.

When using tkfe i know the port but i keep getting an error that says The Communication link is lost.  Any ideas?

Yeah, try rebooting phone and trying again. Reboot pc if it fails.

I ran into this problem myself once, then remembered something that I had read somewhere (I'm sorry I don't remember where, but I don't the credit). Anyway, on your phones main menu, go to Settings> Connectivity> Select USB Mode and make sure Samsung PC Studio is selected. Not Ask on Connection.
Then reboot your phone, and see if that helps.
It did for me, maybe it will for you. Hope so!
