Does  "Goatbreaking" also remove the annoying "Data charges may apply. Continue?" dialog that pops up all the time?

Yes goatbreaking an app will remove that nag. That nag occurs on unsigned apps (constantly) and third party signed apps (when first started).

Hi, I'm new to this forum, so anyway, I followed the instructions to goatbreaking and everything worked but the TKFE explorer will not let me open the .jad files to modify them. Any suggestions? I'm running a desktop with Windows 7 Profesional. Thanks.

Mine is doing a similar thing. Using Windows 7 Home Premium and able to connect with TKFE and delete manifest and appdbs but when trying to upload .jad to my pc get a lost connection error. Upon hitting reconnect button it fires right back up but same issue over and over with .jad uploads.

You cant edit the jads with TKFE. You have to upload them to your computer and edit them on your pc with wordpad.

Also you do ge the lost connection error many times. But you really shouldnt be getting it when uploading to pc. It is usually whe downloading from pc. But as I have stated many, many, many times reboot your phone and try again. And you shouldnt be deleting the appdb folder and m,anifest.mf until you have the jad written back to the phone.

Try rebooting pc to refresh memory and dont run any unneeded apps on the pc while using YKFE. That includes messengrs.

Thanks for the quick response and tips. Upon restarting phone and pc (and turning off all unnecessary apps) as well as trying trying to goatbreak a program in which i have not deleted the manifest.mf and appdbs, I get this error when trying to upload .jad:

Warning: Unexpected has occurred during transfer.

Any ideas?

I have found the fix for the issues experienced in my previous post.

This was done on Windows 7.

Simply right-click TKFE program icon and go to properties>compatability and check box at bottom that says "run program as administrator."

VOILA!!! No Warning message!

Yay!

Well thats a different error than what you mentioned before. Another reason for that error is if you dont have a pc folder selected in the top window of TKFE. Top window is pc. Bottom window is phone. No dragging outside of TKFE.

No jad codes to edit. Just delete the manifest.mf if it exists and the appdb folder of the app and thats all.

I am having problems with the new version of AmazeGPS...it wont let me do any kind of address/keyword/driving directions without purchasing a subscription. Is there anyway around this?? (I used this goatbreaking with the older version of AmazeGPS and it worked perfectly)

Thats because the old version was free. The new version is not. I suggest you go back to version 4.5.
