Give your computer a fresh reboot as well as the phone. Close anything on your computer like Instant Messengers and Internet explorer.

Hi.

I actually just registered to this forum, but I don't own a Solstice, I have an Impact through Bell.  The reason I registered here is because it has the most information out of any site I have visited.  I know how to use the TKFE program and have been dabbling with this kind of thing for awhile.  I was wondering if there is a way to update the Java DB without going through the internals menu.  The master key in the thread does not work for my phone and I have been unable to find one that does work.  I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.  I copied Google maps onto my phone with the permissions set, and restarted my phone thinking it might do the truck.  No such luck.  So unless someone can find me a master key for this phone, or tell me an alternative way, I think I may be out of luck.  It's a Samsung Impact through Bell Mobility (SGH-T746)  It seems to be the same phone as the Samsung Highlight (SGH-T749)

Thanks in advance.

I found my master key!!  If anyone needs the master key for the Samsung Impact (SGH-T746)  to get to the internals menu, it is *#9072641*#

I am just testing Google maps out right now.  So nice to be able to run a program without nag screens about permissions.  This is my new favourite website!!

EDIT:  GPS is working great with Google maps!!  So happy about this, I love my new phone that much more now!!  Thank you Agoattamer for making this thread!

I've searched the forums, but can't find anything on TKE and Windows 7. I upgraded from Vista, and now I can't copy files using TKE. I can connect, view and create/delete folders on my phone, but when I try to drag files to the phone, I just get the universal "No" sign (you know, that circle with the slash thru it).

Any ideas?

You cant drag from windows to TKFE with any operating system. Top window of TKFE is your computer. Navigate to the file there. You can drag from top to bottom window and back. Or you can right click and select download.

So, i followed all the directions, i downloaded the tetris .jar from the impression games thread, then used the jadgen to create a .jad file, connected to TKFE, and transferred both into a folder i created on the phone. then i disconnected the phone and refreshed the java and app databases in the internals menu. however, once it was finished refreshing, tetris was not anywhere to be found. any help?

You did put the tetris folder in the exe/java/games folder?  With the jad and jar in it? Then updated the databases?

yeah. do you have any ideas?

Edit: So i tried it with the bejeweled game on the impression forum, and it worked. could the problem have been that when i downloaded the .jar for tetris it was a zip file, but the bejeweled was just a .jar?

You do not run jadgen. You drag the jar file into the jadgen icon.

Have you installed pc-studio to get the drivers so TKFE will function?
Is your windows 7 32bit or 64bit?
