IS there any way to lock text messages and other apps on the solstice like on the samsung behold?

Yeah, samsung phones hide that option... it's under Menu -> Settings -> Phone -> Security -> Lock Applications. The phone will have you set a security password if it's not already enabled, and then, they're locked. The only downside is you can't block apps/games, etc. If you're worried about data usage, you could always do the dummy profile thing mentioned here: http://www.samsung-solstice.com/how-to/how-do-i-turn-off-media-net/

Lol, I guess hidden isn't the right word, it's just burried in the menu... it took me a few minutes to find it the first time.
