If you are willing to try other versions of pc-studios I can give you others to try.

This is for some European models.
http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.com/downloadfile/ContentsFile.aspx?CDSite=SFC_SG_EN&CttFileID=2065930&CDCttType=SW&ModelType=N&VPath=SW/200905/20090512110407500/New_PC_Studio.1.2.0.ID8.exe&DownloadRoot=http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/&ModelName=GT-M8800

and this version

I am going to try them myself with xp32k to see if they have any added features.

If you have installed any version of Samsung PC Studio other than New PC Studio 1.21 IH1, and/or any Samsung USB drivers other than those provided in New PC Studio 1.21 IH1 and your computer does not recognize your phone immediately when you plug it in,  you need to CLEAN  IT UP as outlined here.  Otherwise skip to CLEAN INSTALL

CLEAN  IT UP
You must uninstall PC Studio first.  Do not use Add Remove Programs or Programs and Features in the control panel to do this as it may not remove all the drivers.  Use the Uninstall utility next to the Samsung New PC Studio or Samsung PC Studio 3 links under Start> Programs.  Reboot and then go to Programs and Features in Control Panel and uninstall anything that says Samsung.  Not everything will disappear in the list.  Just go on to the next one.  You don't have to clean this up as they will be overwritten when you install NPCS.  If you want to you can do it in regedit..  Don't reboot until you are finished. .Go to Start> Computer>Program Files and delete any Samsung folder you see.  Go to Start> Computer> Program Files (x86) and do the same.  This assumes you don't have any other Samsung software installed.  Reboot one more time after everything Samsung is gone.

CLEAN INSTALL
Prepare your phone first.
Navigate to Menu> Settings> Connectivity> Bluetooth and make sure Bluetooth is OFF.
Back out once and go to Select USB Mode and choose Samsung PC Studio. Click Save and return to the idle screen.  With this method DO NOT go into the Admin menu and change from Samsung USB Mode.
Make sure the phone is on and at the idle screen (wallpaper) and all apps are closed.  Hit the red call end button to be sure. DO NOT connect the USB data cable yet.
Make sure you have your sim card installed.

Prepare your computer.
Download New PC Studio 1.21 IH1.exe from the Samsung.com.  Right click on the file and left click on properties.  On the compatibility tab choose to run the application in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2).  Click ok and install the program using the default settings. If you get a notice that the drivers are not signed just click install anyway.
Install TkFileExplorer

Reboot your computer one more time and then connect your phone to the data cable.
You should see a bubble come up telling you new hardware is found  It should tell you the drivers were NOT installed successfully.
Go to Device Manager and look for the device that is not installed correctly.  Right click on this device and uninstall it.
Click on Actions in the Tool Bar and click on Scan for hardware changes.
Select Browse my computer for driver software.
At the bottom, select “Let me pick from a list of drivers on my computer”
In the next window, scroll down to Modem and double click. Then click “Have Disk”
In the box that pops up, navigate to/enter this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung New PC Studio\USB drivers\2.
Click on ssm_mdm2.inf and click open and then ok and ok.
Click yes on the warning.
Click ok after the driver is installed.

NPCS should open automatically and identify your phone.  Now close NPCS.
Now open TkFileExplorer.
Click the icon at the top with the gear and a box will pop up for you to select the com port.
Verify there is a com port in the box and click ok.
On the Eternity and the Solstice the drop down list will be empty as TkFileExplorer 2.2 does not know how to communicate with the new Samsung Mobile Modem V2.  Go to Device Manager, click the arrow or plus to expand Modems and open the properties on Samsung Mobile Modem V2.  Click the Modem tab and note the com port number.  Close all and enter the com port number into the port box in TkFE just as it appeared.  COM#
Click ok and click the connect icon at the top of TkFE.  The one with the Computer and phone.
You should see a list of folders appear n the bottom right pane of TkFE.  If so, you are done.

Download the files you wish to install Downloads folder on your computer.  Be sure to get both the .jar and .jad file for each app.  Once you have TKFE connected to your phone, navigate to the Exe > Java > Games folder in the lower right pane and create a new folder for each app you wish to add.  In the upper pane, navigate to the download folder on you computer to the files you downloaded.  Click and drag the appropriate files (.jad and .jar) to the appropriate folder in the lower pane. Move one file at a time and move all the files you wish to install before you continue to the next step.

If TKFE stops responding, wait for the popup announcement and click OK.  Close TKFE, unplug your phone from the data cable, plug the cable back in to the phone, open TKFE, connect and re-install the same file you were working on.  Just drag the file over the file shown in the bottom pane as it will overwrite the file.  This has always worked for me.

Once you have all the files copied, disconnect from TKFE and the data cable.  Be sure your phone is at the idle screen and open the dial pad.  Type *#6984125*# just as you see it here.  If done correctly, you will see a menu.  Tap No4, Internals, tap the text box to open the dial screen and type *#3818790*# just as you see it here.  Be careful as you cannot see what was typed just like a password.  Click Ok, click Confirm.  If it gives you a message like invalid password, just try again.  Once completed correctly, you will see a menu.
Tap No6 Storage settings.
Tap No3 Update Java DB.
Use your volume key to scroll down and
TapNo9 Update app database.
Use the back button at the bottom of your phone to back out to the idle screen.  I always reboot the phone at this point.  You are done.
