OK people bare with me I have had a LG Shine with no features and I have done some searching but cannot find a comparison. Basically in my heart I want a iphone but my wallet is telling me otherwise. A couple of buddies have a iphone and cannot live without it and said they would pay double the price if they needed to that is how much they love it but other than that I cannot get them to talk much because they are always playing with the phone. Now to my question will the Solstice be a major dissappointment in comparison to the iphone? I do not know what the major differences are but is it seriously lacking compared to the iphone? I will be using it for internet and mainly want the Golf GPS and golf related items to download and hacking into a perfectly new phone scares the hell out of me. What are your opinions on the comparison and has anyone had both and could give me some feedback? I am sorry if this is a sore subject or has been discussed but need to make a decision because I get my phone today and although I have 30 days to use it and return it ,  I would rather return it quickly and get the iphone if their is no comparison. Thanks

Hello & welcome aboard!

Seems to me you want to compare apples to oranges, which really is not gonna work, the ole Ford vs. Mercedes routine.  From your post, I think you really want the iphone and are looking to justify it's MUCH higher cost. Get the one YOU will be most happy with..

I am typing this now on my Solstice and it suits my needs almost perfectly, barring a few changes, including browser. But my needs included size, weight, etc. If I wanted something the size of a PDA, I'd got one.
For comparing phones, I use CNET and look up a phone. It will list 4 or 5 phones that are CLOSE to your 1st pick.

Thanks for your reply and that is exactly how I was feeling. I received my phone today via fedex and turned around and put the return label and shipped it right back (Solstice). I want the Iphone and so that is what I am going to purchase. Once again Thanks.
