Has anyone found a way to change the items in the menu that pops up when you push the multitask button? I would like to have the apps folder show up on that menu. Right now I just have all my apps in the games folder so that I can multitask with them.

There is a games and apps selection on the multitask button on the impression. I would assume the solstice does too.

OUCH! I am finding this out the hard way!
(BTW - hello folks, another noob here, but considering I was here 2 weeks before I purchased the phone, I chose this model in part because of yall)
BAD NEWS: I can be in an application and answer a call - but I cant be in a call and start an application. But,but, but - I can play a game ??
IMO that seriously limits how useful this phone can be to me. Considering I updated from a razor this is my 1st touchscreen, but I have already seen how useful these can be, especially the applications.
But limiting HOW I use/access those apps - maybe I should consider another phone already.
The originator hints of a work around: putting all the applications in the games folder.
I'm guessing this means using the TKFE program and rearranging all the phone file structures?
Hmm...sounds like a drastic measure for what is such a blaring design mistake.

How many locked applications do you actually use? Its actually very simple to just install to games folder.

By this - are you referring to actually moving the desired apps to the games folder instead of the apps folder?

I am not totally familiar with the solstice. On the impression we have just 1 menu for games and apps. Using TKFE there is the games folder and the locked games folder which is where the locked apps show up. When I use the multitask button I can start any app or any game.
Now like I said I dont know where you can go on the solstice using the multitask button. But if there is an app that doesnt run with it and you would like it to then move it to the games folder if thats what it takes.

when you install something, it asks you whether u want it in apps or games. Just choose games. As for locked apps, i wouldnt try moving them as there is no firmware for the solstice yet so if its bricked your SOL. But for now just install your apps to your games folder.

Locked apps can be moved easily if you need them. You probably only use 1 or 2 anyways from the locked apps.

Thanks for the tips! I realize I am asking alot out of this phone - but it seems to be SOOO close to ideal that it's just a pest not being their.
On the Soltice - we have Apps & Games on seperate menus/folder - but when you hit the MultiTask key ONLY the Games Menu show up.
It makes much more sense to me if the MultiTask button called up games OR apps.
I'm sorry - but I dont always want to roll dice with someone I am talking too (games) - I'd rather get them the info they need, get off the phone, then head to the casino's myself!

Moving is quite easy. I would use TKFE and go to your app (locked or not) and upload the jad and jar to your pc. Then delete the app's folder. Make a new folder in the games folder and place the jad and jar in it. Then go update the databases.

I use the calendar (even with its problems) and sync it with outlook. I would like to be able to access my calendar using the multifuncition key, but I am afraid if I move it to the games folder I may have problems accessing it from the sidebar or syncing with outlook. Has anyone tried moving the calendar?

You cant move the calendar. It is not a java app. It is embedded in the phones operating system.

Agoattamer, Would there be a way to put a shortcuc into the multitask menu for the calendar? Sort of like the widget, but in the multitask menu? This is the biggest flaw that this phone has. Paul
