Hi gang,
I have the new Beta version 1.3.0 of Freecaddie working on my Solstice.

Here's how:  Go to Freecaddie.com and find the Java version. Download the .Jar and .jad files onto your computer. Now, find the 'Goatbreaking' tutorial from this forum. Open the .jad file in Notepad and copy the lines of code into the file just like the tutorial tells you to. (Don't try to use the rotate command, it won't work.) Then resave the .jad file.

Now find the tutorial on this forum to tell you how to load games and apps via data cable. Follow all of the instructions and you should have a working version of Freecaddie on your phone. The free version will measure distances for you but it locks out the really cool features of the program.

If you like it and want to upgrade to the Pro version it will cost you $15. Once you pay you will receive a code to put into the program to unlock the better features. I haven't upgraded yet but everything seems to work fine and I probably will upgrade once the weather breaks.

Good luck and thanks for the fine work by the Mods!

I did the same thing at first, but you probably don't have full screen. When I did it that way there were buttons on the screen at the bottom.

I used the lines of code from the Goatbreaking tutorial to make it full screen.

Glad to see I have helped someone. Only line really needed on solstice is MIDlet-Touch-Support: True

Goatbreaking has the same effect as installing with TKFE.

Thanks for pointing out the new version dbc4.  It seems freecaddie finally fixxed it after many months. Looks the same to me except more annoyances to update to pro.

Hi All - newbie here

2 questions regarding FREECADDIE: (No Data Plan too expensive in Canada)

1) Is it possible to load courses from PC (.fcf files) using TK

2) If Courses are downloaded to phone can they be saved for future use or do you have to download the course each time you play.

Thanks

P.S. Agoattamer "YOU D'MAN" thanks for your helpful insights.
